Costa Rica's CowParade in San Jose

Today I was looking through some pictures from my last trip to San Jose, and I stumbled across these of the CowParade cow sculptures. Although the Parade has officially ended, I never posted them up, and felt like they were the perfect addition to the blog today. They kind of make me laugh, and remind me of the lively spirit of San Jose.

Best BBQ in San Jose

It might not look like much when you are driving up to it but BBQ El Chicote is the restaurant to visit in Costa Rica. It was recommended to me by a friend who frequently does business in Costa Rica for its exceptional seafood. The Sea Bass El Chicote “is the finest dish in Central America,” he raved.

From Tremors to Earthquakes in Costa Rica – January 8th, 2009

I think the writer at BirdingCraft.com put it best saying, “The upsides of living in a seismically active country are the hot springs and I suppose visiting active volcanoes. The downside is of course the possibility of having your house collapse onto your head or other nasty effects cause by EARTHQUAKE.”
