As an avid traveler I am always interested in hearing about travel deals, tips, experiences, etc. That is one of the reasons why I sign up for the newsletters from the NY Times.
In a recent email newsletter they pointed me to an interesting link, that doesn’t really apply to most of us living abroad, but is nice for vacationers looking for deals. It’s called Luxury Link.
Luxury Link is an auction site for travel deals all over the planet. For me it was kind of reminiscent of eBay. You can bid on the package deal, or buy it now for a higher price.
I did a search for auction packages in Costa Rica and found a number of pretty decent deals. For example, on a bid ending tomorrow for a 5 night stay at the La Mansion Inn
in Manuel Antonio National Park on the Pacific side, the min bid is only $559 dollars. The package includes 3 course dinners, daily breakfasts… not too shabby. The buy it now price is $825 dollars.
Other package deals include trips to spas, tours on horseback of the coffee region, canopy tours, and a whole host of other activities.
Some of the packages, such as the private, spacious estate stay for 7 nights on the Pacific Coast at Casa Pacifico, are more for the ultimate luxury; the buy it now price is $21,889.
So, if you are planning to come to Costa Rica, why not check out Luxury Link to see if they have any great deals for you.
